This fall, arts fans can find more of the same or a whimsical diversion, as the Bay Area serves up another riveting array of dance, theater, music and exhibitions. And as I always find myself saying this time of year, we are truly blessed to live in an area so rich in arts and cultural offerings. The theater world is abuzz with the return of one-of-a-kind performer Taylor Mac, who’s bringing his epic look at music history to the Curran Theatre. We can also look forward to a brand new jukebox musical focusing on The Temptations as well as a stage adaptation of the beloved film “An American in Paris” (sigh!).

But then Crystal pulled a surprise, playing ringmaster for an amusing “Sound of Music” parody that featured Jack Black, Kim Kardashian, NBA star Chris Paul, Sheryl Crow, Jim Parsons, Carol Burnett and Oprah Winfrey, “So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye, If Fallon tanks, you’ll be back here next year,” sang Black, Added Kardashian, “Last night, I told my folks now I won’t be the butt of Leno’s ballet art, dancer art, ballerina wall art, kids rooms, childrens wall art, original canvas art, girls rooms ideas, lavender gir jokes.”, Parsons noted that Leno’s success was due to the “Big chin theory.” Burnett did her famous Tarzan yell, and Oprah wailed, “So long farewell, you really raised the bar, If you were me, you’d buy them all a car!”..

Eugene Zambetti, who was the city’s fire commissioner for nine years, moved to Saratoga the year it was incorporated. “When I moved to Saratoga, San Jose was in a big rush to develop their town,” he said. Zambetti noted that the towns that didn’t want to be urbanized decided to incorporate. “Saratoga became a full-fledged city with limited lots and minimum services,” he said. “Saratoga was a perfect square.”. According to Zambetti, Saratoga was called “the city of blossoms.”.

“They wrote a play and they figured out how to make costumes out of paper and tied bed sheets for a curtain,” he said, Unlike those participating in other prison rehabilitation, vocational and education programs, inmates aren’t likely to become actors upon their release — in part because pay and job security in the acting field isn’t all that great, Robbins joked, But he said the programs pay long-term benefits to society, “As much as we want to abstract the issue and be tough on crime, most of the guys who are in jail right now are going to get out,” he said, “and they’re going to be moving back to ballet art, dancer art, ballerina wall art, kids rooms, childrens wall art, original canvas art, girls rooms ideas, lavender gir neighborhoods near you, near all of us.”..

Zoltan Peter, co-artistic director of Young Artists Ballet Theatre and Smuin’s longtime company teacher, was dancing for the Dutch National Ballet in the early 1970s and saw Goh’s initial efforts as a dancemaker. “His choreography was awesome,” Peter says. “Everybody was wowed. He was also a very good Balanchine dancer. His choreography is a great audition to Smuin. I know the dancers well, and I’m sure that Choo-San would be really pleased. “. Goh originally created “Momentum” for the Joffrey Ballet in the late 1970s, but he kept developing and refining the piece until 1983, when the pas de deux won the prestigious choreographic award in the International Ballet competition in Varna, Bulgaria. Set to Prokofiev’s lush Piano Concerto No. 1 in D flat, the non-narrative dance explores a series of unfolding relationships in response to the concerto’s kinetic rhythms and harmonic leaps.
